To make a statement against cancer, our five rowing teams did a great job by taking part in the charity race "Rudern gegen Krebs" on the Rhine in Mainz on July 16th 2023.

After weeks of training, our Teams TRONcation, TRONtanics, TRONtastics & TRONados started in the group of “mixed” teams and had a lot of fun while competing with endurance, strength and team spirit. Our men's team, the AlbaTRONs, also gave everything and were rewarded with silver medal on the winners' podium. We are very proud of you!

The "Rudern gegen Krebs" event has been held in Mainz since 2005 and donates the proceeds to sport and exercise therapies for patients with cancer. This year's receipts from the participation of a total of 56 teams will largely benefit the exercise and sports therapy counselling and care services of the University Centre for Tumour Diseases (UCT) Mainz, as well as the Children's Cancer Research Foundation "Improving the quality of life of chronically ill children and young people with cancer".
